Daily Mail Enters Fray in Battle for Irish Readers

Last week Ireland exited the World Cup and a new British-owned newspaper appeared on the streets of Dublin. The two would appear to be unrelated, but bear with us.

The last three games of Brian Kerr’s ill-fated tenure as Ireland manager were characterised by a poisonous atmosphere between the fourth estate and the players and management that proved to be a costly distraction with so much at stake.
