Children’s Arts Festival

FÉis Ghlaschu is a week-long music and art festival for children and young people in Glasgow aged 4-15.

It offers an inclusive, child-centred programme of Gaelic Culture workshops promoting fun, creativity and a focused-learning experience.

The event is open to all children.

Féis Mhór Age 7-12: Féis Mhór offers tuition in clarsach, fiddle, tin whistle, guitar, mandolin accordion, chanter, and drumming, with opportunities to be creative with art, drama, singing, dance, band sessions and storytelling.

Each child selects three subjects and they get tuition in the three subjects each day, twice a day for their selected subject.

Féis Bheag: Pre-five Feis Bheag involves creative play for children who have yet to go to school.

Each day they will receive a storytelling and art session as well as becoming introduced to a new instrument each day.

The pre-five children will learn the Feis song, céillídh dancing and will make a few trip over the course of the week to the cinema in the CCA to watch some Gaelic cartoons.
