Pasteurized Pop
Irish boyband Westlife has sold over 30 million records globally. Now, they are trying to take on the U.S. market with an album of classics from Sinatra and the Las Vegas Rat Pack. The result is so bland, it’s as if the Rat Pack’s machismo had been fed through a pasteurizing machine, writes MIKE FARRAGHER.
