Oh, No!. YOUR “Page 2” correspondent loves – absolutely loves! – George Michael, and now it seems like the former Wham! crooner really hell-bent on throwing his once brilliant career well and truly down the toilet.
No, no – not the public john in LA where he was caught in an unfortunate situation with an undercover cop some years back. We can easily forgive that.
But now comes a report that our George is thinking of teaming up with that manufactured Irish “pop star,” Ronan Keating, who used to front the seriously awful teen band Boyzone. Ronan has had some success in Europe with a solo career – again, as in the case with Chris de Burgh, we Americans really know our music! – and now a duet with Michael beckons.
The two met while filming a celebrity version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in England for a Christmas charity special. And, unfortunately, they hit it off.
“They really had am amazing amount in common, so they decided to continue their evening together,” said a source, adding that Ronan’s wife joined George’s partner after the show, and the foursome went to some trendy London eatery.
“They talked late into the night, and decided that they should work together musically in the future,” added the source.
All we want for Christmas? For those two to stay well apart in 2004!
