THE lovely lady in the middle of the photo is the 2007 New York Rose of Tralee Lisa Murtagh, who went on to win the main event in Tralee, Co. Kerry, a couple of weeks ago, only the fourth New York rose in the 49 year history of the contest to do so.

But in order to win, she had to pass the test of the New York judges pictured alongside her, PR professional Anne Tarrant and Maeve O’Malley, the senior marketing executive at Irish government agency Enterprise Ireland. Anne and Maeve clearly know talent and beauty when they see it! The threesome are pictured last May at the Broad Street Ballroom in New York shortly after Lisa won her first of two titles.
