Irish film office to open in Los
Angeles
By Tom Deignan
It has been confirmed that a new Irish Film Board office will open in
Los Angeles in September.
Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism John O’Donoghue confirmed
the opening yesterday at the launch of the Irish Pavilion at the Cannes
Film Festival.
Plans for the office were first announced last year following the Minister’s
attendance on a trade mission to Los Angeles to highlight Ireland as a
location for US films.
While in Cannes the Minister will met European and American film and
television producers to promote Ireland as a shooting location.
