Preheat oven to 350 degrees Farhenheit.
Prepare- 9 inch Pie pans(Grease and Flour)
Mix first 4 ingredients together. Add shorting, mix to coarse meal state.
Add milk and caraway seeds.
Dust raisins with small amount of flour(This will keep the raisins separate)
Add raisins to batter. Pinch dough in half
and make a smooth rounded loaf in the center of the pan
Bake at 350 Degrees F. for 30 to 45 min.
Test with a toothpick in the centre, if it comes out clean, it's done.
Dough will be sticky! If you butter your hands it makes owkring with dough easier.
This makes two round loafs
