Long stay holidays Tenerife

My wife and I are interested in long stay holidays in Tenerife.

Can you suggest places to  rent that would suit a retired couple ?

Could we meet similar like minded couples from Ireland ?

Our interests as an active couple are varied, especially in gardening.

Sorry nearest I have been is Las Palmas for many short stays
